outfit of the day(bird): oldie

shirt~ Stitch Fix
jeans~ Levis
shoes~ b. (a resale shop)
necklace~ Tess + Tricia

There is an "oldies" radio station (or as I call it, a station that plays music from when I was a kid) in the Bay Area that I listen to a lot while we are driving around. They favor old hits by Genesis, Wings, Hall & Oates, and Huey Lewis and the News, among other greats. Needless to say, it's pretty much my favorite radio station out here. How could it not be, am I right? Whenever a song that I particularly love starts playing I always turn it up super loud and start doing my amazing (according to me) driver's seat dance. And whenever that happens, Mimi will groan loudly and say, "Another song from when you were a kid, huh Mama." To which I always reply, "Oh, you kids these days just don't appreciate good music." So, you know, maybe I am an oldie. And oldie and proud of it.

  1. Sounds like a fun station to me! What I'm not ok with is KOOL 108 back here is playing Matchbox 20 now - what??? I can't be THAT old right? I love Mimi's response, I'm sure I used to do that to my parents back in the day too! Love this top you have on!

  3. This is such a cute look! What an awesome top. You are making me want ALL of the summer clothes!

I totally get the oldies thing! I tend to like a lot of stuff from the late eighties/early nineties, and I annoy the crap out of both Kyle and Liam. Like, Eternal Flame by The Bangles? I am not allowed to listen to it anymore.

  4. I'm all for those kind of oldies! But I do remember being super annoyed with my parents when they'd play the oldies from their time as a kid. :)

  6. Love the sunshine-y pics! You look so cute with your hair back like that. My kids hate my "old" music. Wait until they get older and take over the car radio.

  10. LOL Go Mama! The funny thing is, the hip hop that I was into as a kid, Kaden is hooked on it. And he actually doesn't really like the new stuff. So it pays off.
