outfit of the day(bird): love bird

(face cropped out of that one ^^^ for good reason...)

shirt~ TJ Maxx
jeans~ Levis
boots~ vintage, thrifted
necklace~ gift from Erin

A few things I am loving lately:
~ This song. So good.
~ This book. I am almost finished with it and I have thoroughly enjoyed it.
~ Boots! I'm excited to wear them again.
~ These white jeans. It took me a while, but I finally found a pair I love.
~ True Detective. Jim and I missed it the first time around but HBO is replaying the first season and it is SO good. Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey are amazing.
~ The fact that I have a hair appointment in a week. It has been too long and my hair is starting to get sad.
~ Walks around the neighborhood with my kids to look at the changing leaves. They love pointing out trees that are changing color and finding pretty leaves that have fallen.
~ Reading to my kids before bed with each of them snuggled up on either side of me, their heads on my shoulders.
~ Piping hot mugs of Sleepytime tea shared with Jim after the kids go to bed.

 What are you loving lately?

xoxo, nora bird

  7. The playfulness of your poses always pleases me. That spirit is attractive. I haven't seen TD yet but am eager to. I bought a box set of an old TV show from the 1980's called "The Equalizer" and am watching all four seasons.

  8. I love this outfit on you-the shape and the colours and the way it suits your playfulness. I think your hair looks great actually-sort of cute and flippy and insouciant but I know how sometimes one just NEEDS a hair appointment. Are you still growing it out? After a false start I am growing mine. I haven't got as much length yet as you do but it's getting there.
Those times with children are so lovely. I miss that in some ways but having an adult child is quite amazing too. The hugs get stronger. It's quite something to be enveloped in the arms of your baby.

  9. The tea, the walks, the song--all good things! And I try to wait to break out my boots really until I have to because I know I will be sick of them come . . . about December. But I love this pair on you and the white jeans! Get it!

  14. Oh Nora! I have been loving less and less treatments and getting more and more back to normal. I have been loving my little pooch-face doggie and how well she behalves. I am loving my HM and how he is determined to fix our furnace instead of calling a repair guy. {our furnace has an odd story - I'll share sometime} And I am loving freeze-dried bananas a friend of ours makes. They are like lucky charms but better for you and they melt in your mouth. Ya, I am pretty much loving life these days! ♥, Renae

  16. I love those boots! I have been pretty excited to pull out boots again too - I didn't think I would be after last year's never ending winter, but I just love them so much! And I totally dig that song right now too, I didn't know who it was by! Now I know, so thank you!

  17. Sad hair, I like it! Your hair always looks amazing Nora- you alternate between cute pixie and chic flapper girl!
I confess, much as I hate Autumn, I am looking forward to wearing my Ralph Lauren boots I bought in the late Spring as I only wore them once before it got too warm!

  18. Those boots....perfection. I'm also a fan of that top...in fact, all of this, I love it! I really liked Where'd You Go Bernadette too, but I was listening it on CDs in my car and the last CD was really scratched so I never finished it! Crazy right? I need to, because I did like it!
