outfit of the day(bird): sweet dreams

dress ~ TJ Maxx
shoes ~ Target
necklace ~ Forever 21
sunglasses ~ thrifted

At least once a week, I have a story about Chris' weird sleeping habits. Most of them involve him accidentally hurting me while we both are sleeping. He will elbow me in the face, squeeze my leg really hard, or knee me in the gut, always frantically waking me up. These are all accidental, he would never purposely hurt me. But he is such a deep sleeper and moves around a lot, and I tend to be sleeping in the warpath of his dreams.

The other night, however, was one of the best yet. I happened to be awake, and he was in one of his deep slumbers. He cuddled up close to me, and very romantically started kissing the inner part of my elbow, as if it were my face. About two minutes passed, and he continued to slowly and very quietly kiss my arm is if it were his favorite thing in the world. Of course the whole time I was silently laughing, trying desperately to reach my phone so I could record it. Unfortunately I couldn't get to it, and he claims if I have no photographic proof, then it didn't really happen. But trust me, it did. And it was amazing.

I'd have fallen out of bed laughing; that's one of my few ticklish spots, lol.

You always look great in Bohemian pieces. I like the dress but that chevron necklace I am dying over. =)

  5. I love that dress and those shoes! I kind of wish I could pull off the Birk look, but being relatively short, I just think it might make my feet look like barges, and my legs look stumpy. Or maybe I just overthink things...

  6. I love your sleeping Chris stories!! They're great! Nate used to talk in his sleep - gibberish mostly, but he'd always add kind of a "heh heh" at the end and I like to tease him about that!

    LOVE this dress!

  7. Hahaha my husband is the same way! He's such a deep sleeper. He used to talk in his sleep and would say the funniest things. And I've definitely gotten an elbow to the eye, or hand to my face before!

  8. Haha that is so funny! My hubby tends to flail his arms when he sleeps so I have to make sure I'm sleeping facing the wall instead so I don't get whacked in the face!

  10. LOL OMGosh that is too funny! My sister has weird in and out of sleep habits. Once she "woke up" (seemed awake but was deep asleep) screaming at her husband to "take the mask off". He kept telling her that he couldn't--that was just his face. Oh dear. Gotta love that stuff.

  12. So funny. Kevin is a very still sleeper except for his leg jiggling thing which drives me crazy when we're away because its not soaked up by the tempurpadic. Love the pattern of your dress and your sassy pose!

  19. Omg! That would have been a youtube sensation! How funny! My husband likes to literally rip the pillow out from under my head. He also likes to push a pillow away from him, right on my face! Sleeping with your husband can sure be dangerous!

  20. What a funny story! My wife Robin snores in her sleep and denies she does it. I'll need to record it to prove her wrong.

  23. LOL! This really cracks me up! Oh how great it would have been to have managed to record that for future blackmail purposes ; )

My husband also elbows me in the face or makes weird noises while sleeping. He also talks. Sometimes I can tell you I do not want to hear what he is saying. I just wish he'd be quiet and go back to snoring like a tractor. LOL
