outfit of the day(bird): cute!

vest and dress~ thrifted
jeans~ b. (a resale shop)
shoes~ Qupid
necklace~ Etsy, gift
sunglasses~ hand-me-down from sister

Yesterday morning, Mimi put on a dress and ran out of her room to model her outfit for Ben, who was playing in the living room. She stood in front of him with an expectant smile and said, "Ben!!!" and did a little spin. I was slightly worried because I was almost certain that she wouldn't get the reaction she wanted from him. You know, because he is 21 months and doesn't care about clothes and fashion, right? But no. He stopped, looked her up and down, smiled excitedly, put his hands to his cheeks and said, "CEWUUUUUUUTE, MIMI!" She laughed, did another spin, and they continued on, playing together. I about died. It was such a sweet moment to witness between them. I sure do love those two.

On a side note, I am traveling to Seattle tomorrow to visit a few friends for a girl's weekend and I am so excited! I have never been to Seattle, so if you have any suggestions of things I should see, do, eat, or drink, please let me know! Thank you, in advance!

xoxo, nora bird

  1. What a precious moment between the kidlings! Have a wonderful time in Seattle and tell us all about it when you return.
Oh, and I must take a moment to say I LOVE that red stepchair! My grandmother had one just like it in her kitchen and it was always my special seat, from which I could 'supervise' the cooking.

  7. What a sweet story! Have a great time in Seattle. My recommendations are to visit the Gum Wall (near Pike Place Market) and the Bridge Troll. Also, if you are a fan of Twin Peaks, North Bend isn't too far away and you can see some of the sights from the show. Can't wait to read about your trip!

  12. That IS adorable! Have fun in Seattle! I'm a huge fan of Dale Chihuly. If that's your thing too, then I recommend Chihuly Glass and Garden! Pike Place Market and the ORIGINAL Starbucks across the street are iconic Seattle. Sigh...me's thinking it's time to head down for a visit!

  22. Hi Ladies I am back and this is the post I left off my reading at. Sometimes I get so behind with the blog I read that I go in binge-reading, therefore it happens that I leave several comments on that blogger on the same day. But thank you both for stopping by my little place and not forgetting about me.

Now, I like the Bohemian vibe of this Outfit. But I especially like that the 21-month old noticed his sister's outfit. How cute!!
