i have a bit of an obsessive personality, i will admit. this weekend, i went on a rampage feeling that i needed to overhaul our whole living room. i needed a new couch and coffee table, and was being a total freak about it. i scoured craigslist (because that's how i furniture shop) and found a few items that i absolutely loved. of course chris, being my lightning rod, calmly told me that we already had perfectly good furniture in our living room. so i decided to put our couch on craigslist for a ridiculous amount..and .if it sold, i could get the new items i wanted. he agreed.

so friday night at 10:00, i was taking pictures of the couch and got them posted. we then went to bed (because that's how i roll on a friday night), and woke up to some email inquiries about our couch.

it was then that i realized i love the couch we have and don't want to get rid of it at all. (which reminds me, i still need to delete my ad.)

sometimes all it takes is a good night's sleep and a rational husband who knows you all too well to come to your senses. i still want a new coffee table, though.

xoxo,
two birds

  2. You both look adorable! Love, love, love the shoes--both pairs! It was freezing rain here on Saturday, so I donned sensiblely-heeled boots. :( Thanks for hosting this fab link-up. Hugs, T. http://tickledpinkwoman.blogspot.com

  3. I love the inspiration photo and love each of your interpretations! That is so funny about the couch. I always get a bug up my butt to change something especially my hair but yes, it's always good to wait. You can't even imagine some of the styles I was convinced would look good on me.

  5. First - love both of your looks. Second - I always get the crazy itch to redecorate, and fortunately, I also have my husband as the voice of reason. He keeps me sane. :)

  17. You two look aaaaaamazing!!! How much do I love this look on you. See when I tuck a top into my jeans, I just look porky-you look lovely!!
That's so funny about the couch! That sounds like my husband last Saturday-he stropped about how his car is the reason he can't save any money and said he was going to sell it that day. I had already suggested we visit my friend in a place that is only 20mins drive from us but at least an hour's journey on 2 buses that only come once an hour and we would have to wait for them. He hasn't mentioned it since! X

  24. You both have the most amazing booties!

And I totally get that. Sometimes we need to be told we can't have something to realize how much we actually love it.

  25. Too funny of a story!! :) And love both of your looks...sometimes I feel like booties can be a little hard to style, but they look great with an ankle length pair of jeans.
