love*birds: 10.9.13

things i am loving this week:
~ i can't not talk about this amazing weather we are having in beautiful minnesota. it's 70 and sunny and i love it.
~ because of the weather, i am getting a few more runs in than i normally would this time of year! also love it!
~ but, when it gets colder...i just got a confirmation that we got a permit to work out in the gym of our kids' school. some friends and i like to do the playing card workouts and tabata early in the mornings before school starts.
~ honeycrisp apples. 'nuff said.
~ i had to work late last night...which in and of itself wasn't great, but someone who was also working late was so kind to order me dinner...and it was delicious. (shout out to Birchwood Cafe to all the locals!)

and here are a few more things we are loving.

megan bird
vintage chambray pants
i love both high-waisted and wide leg pants. add some chambray and a tie waist, and you pretty much have pant perfection!

chunky hooded cowl
would it be weird to just wear this around the office every day? because i really want to. in fact, i want to wear it everywhere...i love the big button!

military jacket with faux leather sleeves

i am on fire this week with good picks! i have been in the hunt for a great military jacket, specifically one with faux leather accents. jackpot!!

home sweet home mugs
every time i thrift, i look for home sweet home embroideries. i  never even thought about mugs or other sorts of dishes. now i have a new thrifting goal!! or i could just buy these...

oversized cardigan
this sweater looks so cozy! i love the color, the hugeness of it (yes, that's a word) (ok, maybe it's not), and just how all-around cute it it!

reinventing merdy
mary steps out of her comfort zone in this amazing thrifted dress, and she couldn't look more beautiful! i love it paired with those great kicks!

my husband is a regular mcgyver. he concocted this amazing tarp over our whole campsite so that the rain didn't deter us one bit. it might have been the last camping weekend for the season...or maybe not!

nora bird

i adore this cozy looking, vintage cardigan! i love it worn casually, as a sweater, like in the photo above. and i love that it can be worn as a dress, as well!

such a cute, handmade owl necklace! i love the hand-painted enamel pieces. such a fun statement piece!

only one thing is better during the cold months than an oversized, hand-knitted sweater and that is an oversized hand-knitted sweater with a hood. i need this!

this is the perfect ring for october! i love that is simple and dainty but still super eye-catching! so cool!

i love the geometric print and the mod shape of this dress. super fun worn as a dress or paired with leggings or skinny jeans and boots!

i wore a similar heart print sweater yesterday, and now iris has me wanting to find the perfect gingham shirt to pair with it so i can copy this look! so cute! i can tell why this is her go-to outfit for fall.
