i put a certain amount of trust in my children when it comes to doing things on their own. so when henry asked if he could make a frozen waffle the other morning, i decided to let him do it. i came downstairs to find a frozen pork chop in the toaster. (my) lesson learned.

sunday was spent buying a new toaster and pork chops.

  16. LOVE both of your interpretations. Perfect for a chilly fall day.

Also, someone should totally make a device that will cook a frozen porkchop like that. Why not? I think your son is on to something.

  19. Girls great look on both. Megan you look great in that black blazer and jeans. What a great look on you. Sexy and smart. Nora I love you shorter blazer with the chunkier sweater and the sleeves hanging out over your hands gives it a cool, hip, relaxed vibe. I love this look although I struggle with jeans. Let's see what I can come up with. Have a great day. dawn suitcase vignettes xo

  28. I love the fact that the inspiration meant I tried a blazer over a jumper today- not tried that before!
Love the two interpretations- great matches and lovely items. Megan your jumper is so pretty and Nora, yours looks so cosy and lovely- just what I needed today!
Yikes re the toaster! Funny you should mention it because I went to put a bagel in the staffroom toaster today and it wouldn't go down. I looked in the toaster and discovered someone had left a METAL KNIFE in the toaster!!!! Eeeeek, that was a close shave! But a pork chop is quite funny!

  34. Megan, those boots! Nora, those boots!
Love this tale of toasters and pork chops. I chuckled so much my boyfriend wanted to know why. He laughed and then looked at me and said 'can you cook pork chops in the toaster?' oh dear....

  35. Omg I just read the last paragraph that I had missed earlier today. Kids do crazy things. Why on earth did he change up and go for the pork chop? Too funny! When I had my yard sale a few weeks back, a kid came along and locked real handcuffs on himself that we were selling. Then asked for the key that we did not have. Rob picked the lock thank God. dawn suitcase vignettes xo
