my nephew, sammy, is one of the cutest little babies around. he is 10 months old and chubby as can be, with blond hair and a vintage look to him. i sometimes think he looks like wimpy from popeye (in a cute baby way). for some reason, he doesn't like men. he loves his dad, and loves his grandpa, but anyone else that is not of the fairer sex is the enemy. he literally will start crying whenever he sees any of his uncles. one time, i just mentioned my brother-in-law's name to him and he started crying.
the funniest thing happened yesterday, though. a few of us headed over to our old school's septemberfest...it's a church fair with all the goodies ~ a band, cotton candy, soft pretzels. anyways, sammy was there, and we were all shocked that when he saw chris, he didn't start crying...until chris took off his sunglasses and he started bawling. so chris put them back on, and the crying immediately stopped. we then tested it out two or three more times (or five or six), and sure enough, every time the sunglasses came off, crying, and once they went back on, happy baby.
so from now on at family dinners, i guess all the men will have to just wear sunglasses!

two birds

Loving this weeks Inpsiration, an outfit that has a good transitional option into autumn x
ReplyDeleteYou both look fabulous. I don't think I've ever worn a belt with a shirt but I'm loving the look.
ReplyDeletethat is really funny. clearly he is the coolest baby there is too : ) and I love these skirts and the fact that they are both thrifted!

ReplyDeleteWhat a cute story about Sammy......is it bad that "Sunglasses At Night" is now playing in my head?
Apparently that was how I was when I was a baby. I loved my dad and my grandpa, but for any other man I screamed and cried if they came near me! He'll outgrow it, cause I sure did, lol.
