birdy (or thirty) engagement/family photos

who's ready to see a gazillion pictures of me and my family? i mentioned a while ago that we took some family/engagement photos at a park near our house. our great friend erin took them for us, and i think she did a fabulous job. and these are just from round one. we have scheduled (and rescheduled) round two...so if these aren't enough for you, there will be more to come! =)

i am in love with this picture. our kids are...magnificent!

this one was a joke. it was one of the last pictures we took and we were laughing the whole time.

i think chris was talking to me like pepe le pew here.

and last, but not least, my absolute favorite. i knew we wanted a pose like this, but i didn't realize just how ready the kids would be for it. henry was bone tired, we had been taking pictures for over an hour, and he didn't want to take any more. we told him to stand behind us and act like he was grossed out. instead, he started crying. i think it worked perfectly for the pictures. also, note eva's disgusted face. i love it!

so there you have it...a lot of pictures of my beautiful family that i love so much!

have a great day!
xo,
megan bird

  8. What a gorgeous family! I saw these on Erin's blog too. The Rose Garden is a great backdrop for family photos. And I love how the outfits are coordinated! I'm not too good at coordinating outfits for family photos. Last year's holiday family photo was limited to the color purple because that was all I could find in girls clothing. So one child was wear purple leopard print while the other was wear purple stripes!
