yes, i am barefoot in these photos. that is because i am almost always barefoot these days. and that is because none of my dang shoes fit me anymore. i have one pair of flip flops that i can comfortably wear when i run errands or go to the park with mimi or have to be anywhere in public. but when i am home, i am officially barefoot and pregnant. on wednesday, i went and got myself a fancy pedicure and, for some reason, decided to have my nails painted a bright, neon orange. you know, just to draw more attention to my giant, flintstone-like feet. smart move, nora bird. smart move. but it is only mere days until i have this baby boy (today would be just fine with me! could someone let him know, please??!) and then these feet had better shrink back down to a size six...or i will be one sad lady with a closet overflowing with shoes that don't fit! a terrifying thought!
happy friday, everyone. i hope you all have a fabulous weekend!
xoxo, nora bird

Very pretty! You look great, and I love the softness of the top with the leggings.

This has to be the perfect maternity outfit. Comfortable, practical, but still feminine and floaty, I love it!
ReplyDeleteTell baby boy that if he pops out before midnight I'll arrange to send him a special pressie, (if it's okay with Mama of course)we August 10'ers have to stick together after all. ;-)
I know I've said this before but you are one of the most gorgeous pregnant ladies I've seen! and this dress is so pretty! Can't wait to hear about your little boy's arrival!!
ReplyDeleteI love this tunic - such a pretty, soft color! And hey, if you're gonna have Flinstone feet you might as well go all out and paint your toes orange.
ReplyDeleteHope that boy comes out soon!! Maybe Monday we will have some exciting news... ;)
I love that tunic and your orange toes!! And you're totally going to have him while I'm up north and I'm going to miss it. Because I just have this feeling! But coming home and hearing he's here would be quite awesome too! Fingers crossed!
ReplyDeleteI think your neon orange toes look great! Also, I love this outfit. I will be copying your style if/when I ever get pregnant, just FYI :)
ReplyDeleteI love the bright nail polish! Cute top too :) I am hoping that baby boy makes his way into the world soon!!
ReplyDeleteAw! I remember that stage of pregnancy all too well. You be as barefoot as you want Nora! I love this pretty flowy blouse on you! Here's hoping you have the baby by Monday!
ReplyDeleteAt least it’s Summer time, right? What would one do in the middle of winter? :) You look gorgeous anyways - love the top!

What a pretty, floaty dress/tunic. Hmm, maybe you should try the garlic mashed potatoes again ... :) even if it doesn't work, at least you got a yummy meal out of it all.
ReplyDeletethat baby is gon' come ANY day! you are TOO adorable, girl
ReplyDeleteI saw your fun pedi on Instagram - and I LOVE the color you chose! Everyone should have pretty toes when they go into labor:) Hopefully it happens soon for you!
ReplyDeleteawesome outfit :-) you look so lovely
ReplyDeleteAh, what a lovely floaty, light top, so pretty! You really have made pregnancy stylish Nora! I am ever impressed!
ReplyDeleteI totally do the barefeet thing all the time at home! Right from childhood, my Mum would despair of me when it was winter as I would be darting around in barefeet when it was freeeeezing!
Wow, you're sooooo close to giving birth! Good luck x
That's why - the feet don't fit into the shoes at the last points, LOL. Sorry don't mean to laugh at your situation or at you. I've been there, done that 2 times. You look like you are healthy and in good shape. Best to you.
ReplyDeleteDespite its simplicity, this is a really cute outfit. I love how it flows. And we're wearing the same color polish on our toes!
ReplyDeletelove those toenails!!

You make a lovely barefoot, pregnant lady. Love that tunic! ;) I had so many friends who told me my feet would get bigger and stay bigger, but while I did indeed gain about a size during my last couple of months (I only owned one pair of shoes I could wear aside from rubber flip flops - silver Isaac Mizrahi sandals from Target) my feet did indeed return to their usual tiny selves. Thank heaven. ;) I have quite the shoe collection and having to re-buy them all would have been a pain! ;)

ReplyDeleteisn't it tough being pregnant during the summer! don't worry, your feet will go back. mine always did. i think the heat just makes them swell even more. you look awesome in this adorable tunic. i can't wait to hear you've had the baby!!! yay!

Absolutely adorable!
ReplyDeletei think the bright orange was a good choice, after all, if you have to be barefoot, might as well have a bold peddi to make up for lace of cute footwear.
