this is a very awkward outfit to wear to an ultrasound. trust me, i know from experience. yesterday, while i was getting dressed and ready for my ultrasound appointment, all i was thinking about was wearing something comfortable, which is really my only requirement for an outfit these days. and this dress is extremely comfy! perfect, right? not so much. i clearly wasn't thinking about how i would have to awkwardly and gracelessly hike this dress up to my chin (while giggling uncomfortably) in order for the technician to actually perform the ultrasound. luckily, the technician was very nice and understanding. i am sure she has seen it all!
i hope you all have a happy (and awkward moment-free) thursday!

HA!!! Thats hilarious! Im sure lots of people do it though. Something like that should have been in the movie What to Expect When youre Expecting lol.
ReplyDeleteLove the dress. Maxis really are the most comfy :)
I never wore the appropriate outfit for any of my ultrasounds. I had so many, you'd think I'd remember at some point - but nope. At least your outfit is super cute:)
ReplyDeleteHaha! At least you were comfy! That dress is perfect on you!
ReplyDeleteI love the maxi dress.. now that is a great idea combo with the shirt... finally I can hide my bingo wings :) x Marina
ReplyDeleteWell, it may have been awkward but you look fab! I love how you've knotted the t shirt over your bump.
ReplyDeleteHaha, oops! You still look so cute...I love the layered tee over the dress!

Hahaha! Well, you look cute! I am sure she understood that comfort always wins! :) Love the yellow top tied up, it's very cute and adds something different to the dress!
ReplyDeleteHe he, I guess that would be sort of awkward! It looks so cute and comfy though, so hopefully it was worth it! I love the tee layered over it! Getting excited for your baby boy to arrive! :)
ReplyDeleteHahaha! I am sure your moment of realization that you would hike your dress up on the exam table was one of embarassment and hilarity. Honestly. I would probably laugh so hard at myself. I hope your Thursday is less awkward!

as soon as you said ultrasound, i realized why the outfit would be awkward. i hope it went well. :)
ReplyDeleteI was like wow what a cute outfit, with the knotted top over the dress and then you said ultrasound appointment and I was like oh that's a lot of skin to unveil. You still look adorable!
ReplyDeleteha-ha yeahhh that must have been an experience... sounds like it went okay though and kind of made it fun. you look great, I love this outfit on you!

HAHA! :) Whoops :) Oh well it happens! I did that once in Europe when I had a money belt on... wore a dress and didn't think about having to access the money... it was awful! :) Super cute dress and top though! :)

Your hair is getting long, and that outfit looks super comfortable.
ReplyDeletei love that outfit. since i only wear dresses i've had to strategize my outfits for all my appointments! skirts were helpful in the beginning, but i haven't been able to fit into one for a while now!
ReplyDeleteyou are so cute nora!! xoxoxo
You are looking sooo amazingly gorgeous! Haha, ok so it wasn't the best ultrasound outfit, but by gosh you looked cute.

ReplyDeleteAlso, every time I see your hair I want to cut mine off. It's so fabulously fabulous.
LOL oh dear! Well as any mother knows, it can get worse. And usually does. But you are far from caring about what others think at that point. On the plus side, you look like a gorgeous mommy indeed in this pretty black maxi!
ReplyDeleteI would never have thought of that either! You look gorgeous, I hope I look this good if/when I'm pregnant!
ReplyDeleteI guess it's true when they say motherhood isn't a job, it's an adventure. :)
ReplyDeleteOh man, that would be embarrassing! How funny. I wouldn't have thought about that either. I like this maxi on you though. The knotted top is great with it!

Nora, I love how you layer clothing so effortlessly. This outfit looks so pretty on you, golden yellow is a great color for you as well. It must be so nice to have an entire pregnancy journal while looking so fly all the time. How do you do it? I was jumping for joy when I opened the package that came in the mail today....it was on my body within 30 seconds flat, my husband was like, wth are you doing? I am absolutely thrilled. I hope your reaction to mine is just as exciting. I better hurry and mail it. A huge heartfelt thank you to you and Megan, you know me so well. dawn suitcase vignettes xo
ReplyDeletelol... Thats something to remember not to do.

ReplyDelete1. great outfit, love the tiny top over the long maxi
2. you are the most stylish pregnant lady I've ever seen. right up there with celebs & my sis! I worked with a couple of pregnant ladies this year and by the 6th month one was wearing sweats and lulu lemons to work, the other loose tees & khakis. ha ha i think you should start a mini blog or something on being stylish while pregnant. cuz you are!
how lovely ...
