i love taking the bus to and from work. it's my 20 minutes of quiet time in the morning and afternoon. i get to read and relax, close my mind to everything that's going on around me, and just sit back and let someone else take me home for a mere $3.

there are times when i get so relaxed on the way home from work that i fall asleep. yesterday was one of those times. i was reading my book and started to do the head bob thing, and before i knew it, i was fast asleep. like really fast asleep. asleep so hard that i woke up with morning breath. unfortunately, i was in one of the seats that faces sideways and not forward, so when the bus driver almost hit the car in front of us and slammed on the brakes, there was nothing in front of me to stop me. i jerked awake with maybe a small "huh?wha?" and fell to my side. not enough to fall off the seat, but enough to elicit a chuckle from the two men next to me who surely heard me snoring just 30 seconds before.

not embarrassing at all.
