i must preface this story by saying that my daughter is such a sweet and kind little being...most of the time! but something crazy must have come over her yesterday morning. she was in her bedroom and i noticed she was being naughty and doing something that i did not want her to be doing. so, i kindly told her, "mimi, please stop doing that". to which she replied, "it's MY room"! and slammed the door in my face. i know what you are probably thinking...you're thinking, nora, that is a totally normal way for a thirteen-year-old girl to act. to which i must remind you, my daughter is only two. that's right. two. years. old...apparently going on thirteen. i thought i had at least ten more years before i had to deal with this kind of 'tude! what in the world am i going to do?
i have to give a huge shout out to the gorgeous and awesome claire of spinning threads. the other day i received from her a care package full of super cute maternity clothes (including this tunic)! seriously, how sweet is she? super sweet, that's how. thank you so much, claire! i am certain you will be seeing quite of few of your hand-me-downs on this blog in the weeks to come!
i hope you all have an awesome friday and a fabulous weekend!
xoxo, nora bird

You look great! I'm sure your daughter will come to her senses soon enough... I love when kids are 3-5 years old, I think they're the cutest then!

It's the terrible twos. I don't think you should have anything to worry about. I'm not an expert but did you talk to her about it? If it were me I would let her know what she did was rude and it hurt my feelings but be stern to let her know that it's really not her room because it's your house and open a conversation about it. But what do I know we don't have kids. I just know what my Dad would've done. Is it possible to be straight forward with a two year old? Keep us posted.
ReplyDeleteLove the tunic with the boots.
haha! your two year old has some fun sass in her! :)

Maternity hand-me-downs are the best - cuz who wants to spend a bunch of money on clothes you'll only wear for a couple of months?! And you look super cute in this.:)
ReplyDeleteWith two daughters in this house, I totally feel your pain.;)

I'm sure that all girls have attitude, even when they're that young. And if this was a one time occurence, I wouldn't worry about it....in fact, maybe this will just give you training for when she is a teen!
