i want to thank you all for your kind comments on my last post. sometimes it's just nice to hear that i'm not the only one who feels down in the dumps (not that i ever want you to feel down in the dumps, but you know what i mean). it was also so nice of you to share your happy thoughts with me, they really did help. i hope your weekends were all wonderful!

my weekend definitely perked up after i wrote that post. i started by googling face-care routines on youtube (because when i feel ugly and yucky, i always feel like there is some miracle cure...late night infomercials get me every time) and giving myself a honey, aspirin and turmeric facial. i highly recommend it, it left my skin glowing and smooth. i then bought a ton of other fun and natural stuff for my face, including lemons and grape seed oil (chris thinks i'm ridiculous, i think i'm green and natural). i also splurged and bought some MAC concealer. the verdict is still out on that.

and my little sister was in town, so i had tons of family time. and by family time, i mean my sisters and i hung out and ate spinach dip and watched law & order marathons most of the time. we also went shopping, saw a movie, ate a ton of candy (which made me feel both better and worse), and then our mom cooked us the most delicious brunch. seriously, it was a savory cheesecake. the crust was made of crushed up tortilla chips, and the "cake" was made of cheese, eggs, and veggies. can you really go wrong? my mom, the best cook. ever.

so i am feeling better today. thanks to you and candy and savory cheesecake. oh, and jason segal. because really, any movie written by him will make me laugh.

happy monday!
xoxo,
two birds

  2. I am so glad to hear that you are feeling better and got yourself some great stuff. We all have our dull moments. You always look so good so i never notice any of the flaws you think you have :-) You gals look fabulous again...you always have all the wonderful pieces for inspiration monday. I am always excited to see what you are going to wear. I love your tops...megan's top has beaufitul beading. The red sandals are too cute. I love nora's strappy heels too.

  4. I saw your post on being a Debbie Downer and I couldn't write anything positive to cheer you up because I was having a hell of a day myself. In a way, reading about your down day made me realise that we all go through stuff that we don't like about ourselves - and I notice the men don't usually go through things like that, lucky them. I noticed you blue nail polish, Megan, it goes really well with your coral shoes. And I love your black top Nora. This was a fun Inspiration Monday, thank you!

  7. Glad you are feeling better. I hate those days! I had one of those days on Thursday. Ugh. I've always called it 'down in the dumps' but my mom calls it 'feeling froggy.' I told my husband that and he still doesn't understand what that means...

  12. Glad to hear that you are feeling better. Sometimes when we feel like that you just need some me time and it sounds like you took some with the facial mask and enjoyed some quality time with your sis and fan. I am a big fan of L&O. I could stay on the couch all week to watch all of the L&O's.

Love the beading of your shirt, Megan and Nora I really like that print of your blouse.

My skin is (for a change) not being an evil biznitch but I'm sure something crazy will happen and I'll need it! Xo Lori
