i want to thank you all for your kind comments on my last post. sometimes it's just nice to hear that i'm not the only one who feels down in the dumps (not that i ever want you to feel down in the dumps, but you know what i mean). it was also so nice of you to share your happy thoughts with me, they really did help. i hope your weekends were all wonderful!
my weekend definitely perked up after i wrote that post. i started by googling face-care routines on youtube (because when i feel ugly and yucky, i always feel like there is some miracle cure...late night infomercials get me every time) and giving myself a honey, aspirin and turmeric facial. i highly recommend it, it left my skin glowing and smooth. i then bought a ton of other fun and natural stuff for my face, including lemons and grape seed oil (chris thinks i'm ridiculous, i think i'm green and natural). i also splurged and bought some MAC concealer. the verdict is still out on that.
and my little sister was in town, so i had tons of family time. and by family time, i mean my sisters and i hung out and ate spinach dip and watched law & order marathons most of the time. we also went shopping, saw a movie, ate a ton of candy (which made me feel both better and worse), and then our mom cooked us the most delicious brunch. seriously, it was a savory cheesecake. the crust was made of crushed up tortilla chips, and the "cake" was made of cheese, eggs, and veggies. can you really go wrong? my mom, the best cook. ever.
so i am feeling better today. thanks to you and candy and savory cheesecake. oh, and jason segal. because really, any movie written by him will make me laugh.
