outfit of the day(bird)

i wasn't sure if i would still be able to pull off a turtleneck now that i have the short hair. actually, i am still not sure i can, but my sister recently gave me this super cute turtleneck sweater so i thought i would give it a go. i have actually never been a giant turtleneck fan (i have now officially overused the word 'turtleneck' and now it no longer seems like a real word), but i really do like this one. it has awesome, wizard-like sleeves. and who doesn't love a good wizard sleeve? (if any of you have seen Borat, that might make you think of something totally gross and inappropriate. and i apologize). anyway, this sweater has awesome sleeves with cool buttons. enough said. and i paired it with leggings...as pants...again, i apologize. okay. enough talk. let me know what you think! can i wear this sweater or do i pass it on to someone with more hair and real pants?

sweater~ apt. 9, gift from sister, Izzy
shirt~ Silence & Noise, UO
leggings~ Simply Vera by Vera Wang, Kohls
boots~ Restricted, gift from my friend Tor

happy friday! i hope you all have a fabulous weekend!!!

  1. Are you kidding me?! I would ONLY wear turtlenecks if I had your hair!! It looks great, and I laughed out loud when I read the Borat reference to wizard sleeves. haha.

I love this look - happy Friday and weekend ladies :)

  3. That sweater looks so warm and cozy! I love this entire outfit - it's what I would wear on every cold day like today if I could find the right pair of leggings to replace my jeans.
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog!

  4. I've never been a huge turtleneck fan either but this one is like a turtleneck/cowl neck hybrid... which is awesome! I vote you keep it, especially since you just so happen to own perfectly matching boots!

  6. I think it looks fantastic on you:) I'm so jealous you can pull off that short hair so well in the first place, much less with a fun wizard turtle neck.

  11. I agree with Piper Alexander, I think turtlenecks look great on people with short pixie cuts! And this looks adorable on you!!

I am a pixie cut too, but I just can't handle the tightness around my neck of turtlenecks. I wish that I could. This one looks pretty comfy though and not too tight at all. Nice look over all!

  21. the wizard sleeves ARE awesome and i think you can ESPECIALLY wear turtlenecks with that great haircut! it's one of the fabulous things about short hair~ turtlenecks and scarves go around without getting all tangled up in hair. it's the perfect combo, imo!
