inspiration monday: orange you glad i didn't say pumpkin?

nora bird and i spent the whole afternoon getting ready for the sale this weekend. i can't believe how much we got done. i am so incredibly excited. we got all the merchandise priced, organized and even packed up and ready to go! she and i are each working on a few little crafty things to make the space extra cute. one of my projects is spray painting pumpkins. we are working with retro themed colors like aqua, avocado and orange. so, i went to home depot and bought three cans of spray paint for the project....aqua, avocado and orange. it wasn't until this afternoon when i pulled both the pumpkins and the paint out to show nora that i realized my very obvious mistake. orange paint. for pumpkins. dummy.

onto this week's inspiration...the always boho-chic vanessa hudgens. i love her outfit, even though i have nothing in my closet that resembles these pieces. why do i not own a leopard-print shirt? seriously, why?

  3. I'm also wondering why I don't own anything leopard print. But who cares, your boho chic top is so cute megan, love it with your flared bottom jeans, Nora's leopard print top is stunning! Both of you look adorable in your 70's inspired flared bottom jeans, two different looks but just as chic!

  7. Hahah I would make the same spray paint error- ah well it's probably a brighter orange than the natural pumpkin hue! Beautiful outfits- I love Megan's peasant top and Nora's leopard blouse (you'll have to borrow it Megan- leopard is such a fun print!)

  10. Seriously, you girls are so cute I can hardly stand it. Megan, I love, love LOVE that shirt!!! Nora, your hair looks super cute with the headbands in it. I can't wear headbands, I have a weird shaped head.... Jealous. Love you girls!!

  12. Oooh Nora I love your headband- your hair looks great! I am a long-haired lass but I do look wistfully at people wiht cute elfin cuts like you and imagine what it would be like to have short lovely hair!

    Boho Chic is closest to my own style and I love everything I see Vanessa wearing. I'm vacationing back in my homeland for one more week and I travel light so I have nothing even close to this outfit to link up. But I'll try next time! Have a beautiful day!

  19. I just had this aha moment. It is so cute that you guys call each other birds. One of my dearies and I have done the same for years. You know that saying "She's a strange bird"? Well, I give my friends bird names. I am Gentle Bird and my dearie is Laughing Bird. My hubby is Busy Bird and we have another friend we call Love Him Bird. Birds of a feather!
