frugal feathers: do you work on commission? big mistake!

i have officially turned into that lady that says stuff like, "i can't believe what teenage girls are wearing these days." or "they call this music?" what would you call that? an old lady? well, i'm an old lady, then. cause for real...my sister just sent me this picture and i got a little sick to my stomach.

toddlers and tiaras
did some mom actually think it was ok to dress her three-year old daughter up in spray tan and the hooker outfit from pretty woman? for realsies, this is disgusting.

so i might not have the hooker outfit from pretty woman, but i did find almost an exact replica of this polo dress at a thrift store. for $1.00! yep, i can be the classy julia roberts hooker for a mere dollar. wait, that sounded really bad...

dress ~ vintage, thrifted, $1.00
belt ~ thrifted, $1.99
shoes ~ Target, $19.99
earrings ~ F21, $3.99

happy friday...in case i forget to tell you later, i had a really good time tonight.
xoxo,

  6. Nice transition into the outfit! Those poor toddlers, I just feel so sorry for them. :(

  7. I'll bet the mom of that poor child justifies it by telling anyone who will listen how much her child loves dressing up and competing. I'm sure the almost-baby did NOT ask to dress up like a prosti-tot from a 21 year old movie. Ugh.

But that $1 dress is amazing and fits you perfectly. You need the giant hat! And to find that child and mentor her in the ways of classy dressing. :)

  16. AHHHHHH that dress is WONDERFUL! And a dollar?!

PS I find toddlers and tiaras frightening and yes, dressing your child like a hooker is 100% wrong.

  17. I have a 2 year old and have thought of putting my daughter in pageants but I haven't yet or never will. I just hate what these mothers put their kids through.

    PS Love your dress.

  18. That picture of that child is very disturbing, she looks like an oompa loompa that wasn't making enough money at the Chocolate Factory so she turned to the streets....you however, look fabulous. Now, go stomp some divots!
