up north

i am writing from lovely breezy point, minnesota. anyone who is not from minnesota probably has never heard of it, but every year we make an annual trek up here for the first week of the year for a little thing they like to call "ice fest". regular activities include:

ice hockey tournament
snow tubing
outdoor bonfires
we partake in a few of these activities every year, but mostly we just come here to relax. we swim, eat, drink, shop (can't wait to check out the local thrift stores today), eat some more, and just hang out as a family. this year for our family project we will (attempt to) make a garland.

so that is what we are doing the rest of this fine week. i will check back in periodically, but in the meantime, have a lovely thursday!

  1. That sounds like an amazing, relaxing time. What a nice tradition and a great way to start the new year!
